Current 'Interactive' Pic

Ah, I figure I might as well re-instate the journal and use it...before dA force screws it up...
Anyway, if you haven't been reading descripts, I'm currently doing a semi-'interactive' bit of drawing as a mini-project right now, something with a character in a scenario...possibly peril-related...
At the moment, I'm very much looking into feedback/suggestions regarding elements of her color scheme:
So, feel free to comment and participate on the deviation itself if you'd like to pass any ideas along. Just playing with something for a bit here. ^^

Once again, much thanks to everyone regarding all the birthday wishes and messages. I truly appreciate it, especially with how bad this year ended up.
'Twas a bit of a quiet birthday, to be honest, but you can guess why. Still watching my father improve slowly but gradually (had some pain in his back ribs the past few days that SEEMS to have gone away...we're seeing a post-op appointment this week anyway) and we didn't do anything special or go out for dinner etc.
Just a relatively normal-ish, getting one year closer to end-of-line.
Anyway, again, thanks very much to all of you. ^^

Another Update / Request

Still exhausted, still mostly overwhelmed. <:
Taking care of my dad during his recovery still. He can be fairly independent somewhat in what he's able to do, but gets tired extremely quickly and finds it hard to maintain a single position for too long barring (somewhat disjointed still) sleep. Some bruising from the hospital made sitting a chore but it's fading away gradually.
We're very loaded with 'appointments' now. Have to bring him for post-ops and checks with the cardiologist this week (the same day!) and we now have a nurse and phys therapist visiting a couple of times a week to check him out and see that he's strengthening overall.
It's rough. A lot of running around mixed with watching him carefully. But overall, he IS improving, so have to be thankful for that.

Alright, the 'request' part.
I have VERY little free time lately, and it's really hard to focus on anything for myself at the moment (basically 'free time' means 'it's mid/late night, go up to my room, feel too tired to do anything other than sit/lay in front of a screen and soon fall asleep') so my ideas are somewhere between nil and zero.
So, while I still doubt I'll have the time/mindset to actually DO anything art-y for the holidays this year...I'd like to maybe aim to sketch something if there's ever any 'positive' free time. Again, dunno if I'll be able to actually do so, and who knows if I'll get time to actually go further than the sketching phase, but, eh, it's there.
Let's say...I'm listening (if anyone has a suggestion) of a simple 'themed character' costume pic. You know, like the typical DLC skin stuff you get charged in current year gaming for.
Suggest any OC of mine (I was going to let 'fanart' but I doubt I have time to go researching much), and suggest a costume and/or 'theme' fitting either the xmas/holiday theme or winter/seasonal theme.
I suppose you can also include a suggestion on type of pic ('Normal'/Pleasant, Tied, Flexy, Tickling, Footy POV, Nasty etc.) but it's not necessary.
Right now the only minor fallback ideas I have are 'Elf on the Shelf-like' or 'Sugar Plum Fairy' (so if you like those, say so). Definitely not doing another 'mistletoe' parody again though this year. <:

Yet Another Update...

I'm exhausted.
Alright, my father is thankfully home, first off. He's pretty weak and needs a lot of help to get up/down, plus he has to keep his legs up if sitting due to liquid pooling issues. Brought him to his cardiologist and he's looking 'good', plus the home care nurse that visited later today said the same...just have to keep up on a lot of medicine and helping him keep his incisions clean.
So we've been either driving around a lot, or helping him and/or adjusting the house as necessary a lot, since bringing him home yesterday.
Plus, of course, the good old Thanksgiving -> Winter/Christmas translation period in the house anyway. <:

So, things have improved in general but are very tiring. This'll be some rough weeks taking some heavy 'loads' to help the family.

Otherwise, I'm not sure what sort of output I might have art-wise on here for awhile. I generally love to try to put out my usual mediocre holiday stuff but between all the work/support going on combined with how tired I've been (my back is really aching), I'm not sure if I can this year. I have a few saved up (non-holiday) pieces I'll try to toss out if it comes to it, but we'll see.
Yet again though, I want to thank everyone here for all the words of support over these past weeks. All the messages/notes/replies helped keep my spirits up for the situation my dad is in and I'm very thankful to all of you. ^^

Negatively, I'd like to thank the troll or dA prude that's apparently assaulting Shantae-based fanart all over the site, apparently. I know it wasn't much of a popular pic, but to flag the recent costume pic which was literally just a pair of characters posing with no 'fetish'/erotic/remotely naughty elements as 'underaged sexualized content' just really makes my day in my current mindset. You know, a pic with a non-human OC (Kelyn) COSPLAYING as Shantae, as opposed to the actual character. I'll 'follow the rules' and mature filter it...for now (maybe I'll just flat out delete it though)...but you're a moron. >:
